This is the blanket I made for Jessica and Zach for their wedding gift. It was a long, "painful" process, but fun to make something a little different. I'd never knitted "pictures," just patterns so there was a little bit of a learning curve that had to go on.... Probably my proudest knitted project up to this point. There are a few things I would change if I ever decided to make this again. It has these weird tulip/ flower sections in between the trees and I would not add those but do my own pattern in those sections. Also, I was still learning how to "sew" pieces together, so I know the border sewed onto the blanket ended up being wrong, but I was on a time crunch and couldn't really fix it. Sorry Jess! I hope you still like it!

And the border was leaves. I think they look cool.
I also made our little guy this hat. The colors are not right in this picture, but brighter.
Marley Hat
This is my favorite looking blanket I've made. It was really easy to knit up and quick because it used big needles. I made this for Sterling's mom's birthday. She really liked it.
Blanket for Sterling's Dad and Step-mom for Christmas. Our cats always have to approve the blankets before I get rid of them.
Max and his demon eyes!
Sterling picked out the pattern and color.
A scarf for myself, made with the yarn that I really wanted last year for my birthday, but couldn't stand spending $40 on it. So Sterling got it for me this year for my birthday. He picked out the green!
Ariel Scarf
Close up of the pattern. I think it turned out pretty cool. Now I just have to find something to wear it with.
And I'm currently knitting my first toy. I'm knitting a giraffe and so far, so good. I'll post picture when I get that done. I hope I get it done before our little guy gets here!
BTW, I found this cool lullaby cd that plays popular music, toned down for babies. I just got the Coldplay one and love it!
