We've had a pretty good fall season so far. The weather has been mostly beautiful in Oregon. We had lots of sunshine up until Halloween. Yay! Now it's raining, that's alright though. It means Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's are almost here and then my baby comes after that. Wo-who!
Halloween
These are our last minute Halloween costumes for the Ward Trunk or Treat party. We decided 5 minutes before it started. We have never dressed up, so this is as good as it gets! I was a pro golfer, complete with a PGA Tour shirt, glove and Titleist hat. Sterling was my caddy, complete with an actual caddy outfit, putter, score card, ball marker, golf ball, etc.
Fun Fact: Did you know Sterling was an actual caddy one summer during college? He caddied at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and became a senior caddy in almost record time. He caddied for some guys who would fly their private jets in from around the country just because they woke up that morning and felt like playing at Bandon Dunes. Crazy!
We also went to the corn maize with our friends, Justin and Tori. Tori's pregnant as well (about 4 weeks ahead of me.)
We tried to get our bellies in the circles because their the "perfect pumpkin." Hahaha, yes you can laugh. We're lame! :)
This year we didn't carve our pumpkins until Halloween night. Oh well, maybe we'll do better next year. Sterling's is the scary house and mine is the owl.
Sterling's creepy smile. This is our friend, Missy's, favorite smile!
My prego belly and pumpkin!
Las Vegas
Every year we go to Las Vegas for the SEMA show the first week in November. Sterling's company, Bushwacker, always has a booth set up every year. This might be my last year though since they don't allow children under 16 into the show.
The Bushwacker booth looked good this year. Here's the pictures for Emily:
And we ate lots of free Bushwacker cookies. I think I stole like 9 of them to share with my sisters and nieces.
The model car this year, featuring Sterling's flat style fender flares. Almost all of the Jeep's around the convention center featured Sterling's flat style fender flares. He is so proud of his little babies!
These are flat style fender flares. Sterling designed them! I'm so proud of you, honey! Front Flares.
Rear Flares
They also featured a Subaru WRX STI with Bushwacker parts on it.
It featured one of Sterling's parts too. The best part about being a designer is being able to hear positive feedback from customers or just random people. I was sitting on the couches at one point and these two guys walked up to the WRX and started talking to each other about how cool the part was that Sterling had designed. Sterling was beaming later after I told him about it.
I personally think it's kind of ugly. (Shh!) Actually Sterling knows I don't like this part. He designed like 8 different styles and I picked the one I liked the best, but Subaru liked this one the best. Obviously it's their choice, not mine, that counts.
It's not all business in Vegas though. This year we got to go to a show. The Lion King. Fabulous, amazing, highly recommended!
We loved it!
The we walked around the strip a little. I had to see the water show at the Bellagio of course and walk around the atrium!
My feet and ankles swelled up so bad that night. I did way too much walking in Vegas!
I also got to hang out with Michelle and her girls and Emily and little Maddox. He is way cute!
We made "Turkey" sugar cookies cut in the shape of our hands.
And even went to Michelle's Relief Society Super Saturday activity. Sterling even helped make a sign that was being donated.
It was a fun trip and I'll be sad not to go every year. Sacrifices for our babies, right? :)
And last but not least, we got a "new" car.
Sterling's dad gave us this old 1970-1973 (not sure what year) Honda N600. (It's about the size of a mini cooper, maybe a little bit shorter.) Pretty awesome if I do say so. And Sterling is going to restore it. He's pretty excited. We were sad to be the only member of my family that didn't own a Honda, but now we are the owners of this beauty. I'll let you know how it's coming along.
If you read that whole blog post, you're awesome!

I'm glad we got to see you! Even if it was a little rough taking care of Maddox on my own:)
Sounds like a busy, fun fall! Way to pack stuff in during your last few "alone" months!
Your trip sounds so fun! I didn't know that Sterling designed those things. That is so cool. I bet you were a proud wife!
