For Labor Day weekend Sterling and I went down to his mom's house down by the beach. While we were there we had a lot of fun doing various activities like going to the Oregon Dunes Recreation Area, going golfing, going to the Sea Lion Cave, driving up the Oregon Coast... Here are some of our pictures that we took on our trip.
We went to the Oregon Dunes on Friday before the mad rush that usually comes on the weekend. There was practically no one in this area. We had so much fun, except when Sterling's ATV kept on dying. We eventually called up the shop and they drove a new one out to Sterling.
This was my first time ever going to the sand dunes, so I was a little nervous at first, but the more and more we rode around, the more and more I liked it. It was a lot of fun. Plus, my ATV matched my outfit, which is even better. I could probably be an ATV model, right? Just Kidding! There were a few times I would get scared going down the HUGE dunes, but I'm alive and didn't flip it! I did get stuck once because I couldn't make it up the hill behind Sterling. My ATV didn't have as much power (250cc) versus Sterling's (300cc).
On our Drive home, we drove up the Oregon coast and found this really cool sea cave on the side of the road. The Sea Lions come up from California at the end of the summer and stay in this cave for the winter. This picture is of a female sea lion.
This is the scary cave. We had to take an elevator down a 200 foot shaft through the earth. And then it was dark and cold and wet down in the cave... brrr... The Sea Lions were outside because the sun was actually out and they didn't want to stay in the cold cave. I didn't blame them!

Sounds like fun. Enjoy your days without kids. Life is still fun, but matching your shirt to an ATV does not happen much :)
Amen, and welcome to blogging. I love keeping up with all my nieces and nephews and this is a great way to do it.
