Summer 2011

This post is for my mom, since she faithfully checks my blog every day, in hopes that I have put up more pictures of my sweet little JJ.

Summer has gone by so fast! We were lucky (spoiled really) to have my brother, James, live with us for a couple of months. It was so nice having an extra set of hands while watching JJ. AND Sterling and I finally got to go out on a few dates for the first time since JJ was born. We went to the movies and saw Super 8 (after JJ went to bed, of course.) I had my phone in my hand the whole time, just in case James called.

We had a alot of fun adventures while James was here. We tried to do something every weekend. We went to the beach for 4th of July weekend and rode the dunes, we hiked Silver Creek falls, we went to Mt. Hood, James and Sterling hiked up Mt. St. Helens, we went to Voodoo Donuts, James took a short trip on a train to Kennewick to visit old friends, we went to an art festival, we went to the art museum downtown for a work party, James worked 40 hour weeks with Sterling at Bushwacker, we went berry picking, James tried Thai food and Pho noodle soup, Sterling and James went mountain biking and they also ran and trained for Hood to Coast, etc.

Here's a few pictures to placate my mom. Ok, a lot of pictures... Love you mom! :)

That last picture of JJ is ADORABLE! He is getting so big! Wasn't he just born??

I always love looking at all the fun Northwest/Portland adventures you post about - oh how I love it up there. And you make me jealous in your coats and cardigans during the summer time. I long for that type of summer weather - it is perfect. That is so cool that James came and stayed with you for a while.

You look beautiful in the 4th of July pic with you and JJ - I love your hair that length!!
