Rafting?

Our friends have been trying to get us to go white water rafting with them for a few months now and none of our available weekends have ever lined up with theirs until today. So, what did we do? We went rafting.

I wasn't too sure about going, especially being pregnant, so I was going to sit out the first run and then Sterling was going to tell me how the river was, but as we drove up there, they were telling us about the rapids and they didn't really seem that "scary." So, I went for it.

I took half of a Zofran before getting in the raft and I was fine the whole time, no nausea. They had me sit in the middle of the raft, which greatly reduces the risk of falling in plus they didn't have me paddle like crazy and I squatted down anytime we came to anything "too big." (Not that there was anything too big. The rapids have started to fizzle out. Usually rafting season is during the spring with the greatest snow runoffs.) There was practically no danger of falling in anywhere.

Overall, it was a ton of fun and I would do it again. Maybe not as I get bigger, but definitely next summer.

Question though, am I terrible for going out rafting? Eek!

By-the-way, Sterling is so nice. On his way home from the gym tonight he called me up to see if I wanted anything and of course I wanted root beer, so he brought one home for me. Something about that root beer... Mm..mm..mm. I've never been much of a soda drinker either and I think I've had root beer at least 2 or 3 times a week for the past 3 weeks. Yum, this root beer is tasty!

Heck, as long as they weren't ridiculously bad rapids, why not? I used rootbeer to allow me to keep drinking pop while cutting back on the caffeine while I was pregnant, Barq's is my fav!
