Sterling's 12 Days of Christmas

This year I did the 12 Days of Christmas for Sterling. He received a different gift every day leading up to Christmas. He was so excited every morning to open up his next gift. It was so much fun to try to think of different things to give him for each day. Some days were harder to think of than other, especially since Sterling doesn't like Chocolate- I could only get him one day with chocolate. I might or might not do this again next year.

These are the gifts he received:
A partridge in a pear tree: Sterling got a pear.

Two turtle doves: Turtles chocolates in a gift bag with a dove on the front.

Three French Hens: I made Sterling an invitation in French to join me for a yummy dinner of Cornish Hens. (It was really quite good!) Click for the recipe I used.

Four Calling Birds: I played off the word four and changes it to 'Fore.' So Sterling got a Titleist Golf Hat.
Five Gold Rings: Bag of Funyuns

Six Geese a-laying: I made breakfast for him with yummy eggs!
Seven Swans-a-swimming: Sterling got a pair of swimming goggles.

Eight maids-a-milking: I found this "Where's Waldo" sort of game that had 8 pictures of maids-a-milking and he had to find them. It also had seven swans, six geese, etc down to 1 partridge in a pair tree. He loved it and had so much fun trying to find everything.

I couldn't find this picture anymore. It was on a website called Idea door, but it wasn't there again when I checked. Darn it.

Nine Ladies Dancing: I got him an iTunes giftcard with a girl dancing on the front. (Another idea I had was to get him Nutcrackert tickets, but I had a budget. Maybe next year!)

Ten Lords-a-leaping: Sterling got an Old-school Blazers t-shirt and blazer tickets against the New Orleans Hornets.
Eleven Pipers Piping: He got a train whistle. Twelve Drummers Drumming: Sterling got Drumstick Ice Cream Cones.

So fun! I might have to do that for Greg next year. I thought about doing it this year except that Greg would not get the boxes in order and/or he'd get them all on the same day. I should have done an e-mail type one. Oh well, ideas for the future.
