This is Chicago! We flew from Portland to Chicago. I was so excited to see one of the great lakes because I had never seen one before. Very cool!

Bobby was pretty good at getting them. Do you see the fence in the background. All of the boys helped my dad build that on Thanksgiving day while the girls were cooking inside.

Abbie Shooting. Look at the house, isn't it beautiful. It was so grand inside!Scott helping Emily get ready to shoot!

Sterling in action! Do you see the clay to the northeast of his head?

I caught James just when he was shooting. Do you see the smoke? Pretty cool huh?

We were waiting for the ferry ride.

The bridge in Charleston. I wanted to go across it but we didn't have time.

Very crazy guy! Just so you know, the confederate flag that people still fly today was never approved as the confederate flag in the 1800's. He wanted us to make sure that we told everyone that. He kept on screaming his speech like he was a drill sergent, it was weird. We couldn't help but laugh at him every time he opened his mouth.
One of the cannons that was still there at the fort. It's amazing how far they were able to shoot these things.
Some other things that we did while we were there, but didn't take any pictures:
On Wednesday the girls ran around to pick up a ham, things that we hadn't gotten from the grocery store yet and webaked pies. The guys went to the gun store and then went down to Augusta National to see if they could get a glimpse of the famous golf course. And then we ate Mexican food that night.
On Thursday te girls cooked all morning and the boys built a fence. Then we ate our Thanksgiving dinner. Went out back and shot the guns and then went and saw James Bond that night. Sterling was excited to drive my dad's S2000.
On Friday we went to Charleston to see Fort Sumter. That was fun taking the ferry out to the fort and being able to see some civil war sites. The bay got a little choppy on the way back and it did not make me feel very good. Then after that we had dinner at a fancy fish house. I don't like fish, but I got a delicious steak. Mmm... Probably the best steak I have ever had. Either that or the one at Ruth's Chris on Sterling and my anniversary. Than after dinner we took a horse-drawn carriage ride around downtown Charlseton. It was beautiful! They have a law that states that if any building is over 75 years old, you can't knock it down or do renovations to the outside. They have preserved their town very well and everything looks very old.
On Saturday Sterling and I had to fly back to Portland. It was nice visiting but one more day would have been better. I got "homesick" from my family after we left. Too bad they live all of the way across the country. That was our trip!

Sounds fun. I wish we could have been there.
The Banzai Burger is the best! No Red Robin near us... missing that.
