I love finding good deals! And lately I have found a lot! I was paid $.42 to buy two big tubes of toothpaste at Safeway. I got some soy sauce for free and jars of tomato sauce for really cheap. (I'm just getting into couponing and these are some of my best deals so far.) Oh, and I was able to get my favorite cereal, Oatmeal Squares, for $1.25 a box. They are typically $4.00 per box. I call that a steal!!!
My new favorite obsession is going to consignment sales! Check out Just Between Friends, to see if they have a sale near you. I was able to get all of JJ's Christmas shopping, plus toys, books, and clothes for right now, for around $35. (I wish I had taken a picture to show off my haul.)
Today, I went to the Pass it On sale and was able to get all of this for about $30:
A push toy, an alphabet toy, a nice pair of black church shoes, 6 books including a learn about Van Gogh art book, a Baby Einstein movie, a winter sweater, corduroy pants, a chirstmas shirt, khakis, a button up Calvin Klein shirt and a free sample of Costco diapers (I've always wanted to try them but didn't want to buy a box and find out we hated them.) A lot of the stuff was brand new or barely used.
The down side of these consignment sales is there are usually 100's of people. We waited in line for an hour! JJ did pretty good until the last 10 minutes. He was hungry and wanting to play. It is best to leave the kids at home, but I didn't have anyone to watch JJ, so I had to bring him. I'm sure I could have found some better deals and cuter clothes if I could have looked around more. But I sure did get a lot of great stuff!
I also love to buy Groupon deals and Groupon Now deals. I was able to get a deal to the Franz bakery outlet and I got all of this for $5.75:
Look, JJ already found the donuts! :) Smart boy! (We cannot eat this much bread before it goes bad, so I froze half of it!)
My favorite websites that I look at to find good deals are these:
Hip2Save I get freebies, and learn about other great deals, usually online deals. For example, I found a deal for Robert Sabuda Pop-up books on this site. If you've never seen these pop-up books, google him right now! Do not read the rest of this post. You must google Robert Sabuda right now. They are the most amazing books you will ever see. I highly recommend the Peter Pan book, but they're usually pricey. I found one for $7.95, free shipping!
Frugal Living NW This is a local couponing site, so it's location specific. This is where I find my grocery store deals.
Zulily They have fun deals for moms, kids and babies. I've bought way too many things from this site! :) Mostly books though.
Plum District Daily deal coupon site- this is where I usually find out about consignment sales and I get coupons for the sales.
Living Social Daily deal coupon site
Groupon Daily deal coupon site
My Habit Daily deal site for designer products and the deals come up at 9:00 am PDT. I love this site because there is free shipping on everything and it usually gets to your house in the next day or two. They occasionally have $25 promo codes, so you can get free designer stuff! I got a free tote bag by One Language.
I love finding good deals. Have you found any good deals lately? Or do you have any good sites you like to look at? Happy hunting!

We LOVE woot.com. It's generally electronics stuff, but we've bought 3 dyson vacuums, a laptop, gps, flying monkies, 3 car seats, cedar planks (for cooking), and more. I think the car seats were actually off of their kids site, kids.woot.com. It's $5 shipping no matter what it is or how many of them you order. The electronics are new and refurbished (so you have to keep an eye on that if you care).
