Softball

Sterling's softball team, The Sunset Sluggers (5-6), won their game tonight! The reason why I am blogging about this is because they had to win their game tonight to make it into the playoffs. The other team was undefeated (10-0)! And we won!!! The first inning was awesome. Our boys came out with their hearts on fire and successfully hit two homeruns and scored 13 runs. Crazy, most of the time they don't even score 13 runs during the whole game. Unfortunately, the other team scored 10 runs in the first inning as well. From then on, it was neck-to-neck and we were all sitting on the edge of our seats, biting our nails. Then came the 5th inning, and The Sunset Sluggers had another awesome inning and scored another 8 runs or so. At about that time they had to end the game because of time restrictions. (Another game was supposed to start on our field.) The final score ended up being 28-18 or something really close to that. Let's just say, our boys were estatic! They beat the undefeated team and made it into the playoffs. So... another week of softball coming up! By-the-way, Sterling had to get me McDonald's softserve ice cream because they won....
