Our new kitty

We've been wanting to get a kitten for awhile but we just haven't been able to find one that we really like. We go into PetSmart and a local pet store about 2-3 times a month and this last week, we walked into PetSmart and Sterling instantly fell in love with Calvin. He is a great cat! He's almost 5 months old, has nice stripes and spots, is active, could let you pet him all day, let's you touch his paws, will sleep on your head until you throw him off the bed and then he'll come back and curl up against you. He is so cute, but crazy. He has a nightly freak out where he runs around the house, running into walls (head first), chasing imarginary things. He's crazy. Today he had a midday freak out. He leaps so high when we play with this feather toy. He sleeps behind the couches during the day and at night he loves to sleep on my pillow. Yesterday, when Sterling was saying his morning prayers, Calvin just climbed onto his back/neck and just sat there until Sterling got up. It was hilarious. Then he does this funny thing where he'll run in front of you and then all of a sudden flop on the ground in front of you because he wants you to pet him. He also likes to climb on my shoulder or be held like a baby. Silly Cal-cal. Oh, and he answers to his name Calvin or Cal-cal.

Sterling calls him "Tiger Cat." We are not quite sure what kind of cat he is, but he looks somewhat like an Ocicat with a darker coat. He probably has some American shorthair in him and some Abyssinian. He is so spoiled already! We love him.
